Billing Service WE WILL BE ACCEPTIONG NEW BILLING CLIENTS AT THE END OF SUMMER
Your financial success is our primary priority. You need current forms, basic billing information and assistance as you work with your clients and their insurance companies, perhaps for the first time. You may also need business assistance in developing or editing your Financial Agreement, accepting deposits and cash payments, offering discounts and collecting deductibles and co-pays. We can assist your office with all of these needs. Do you have a backlog of “problem claims” that no one wants to work on? We’d be happy to help!
Are you a CNM thinking about starting your own home-birth practice? Or perhaps you have just passed the NARM exam and are faced with all the hurdles of setting up your new practice. We specialize in new practices and can assist you with marketing ideas, setting your fees, writing a business plan, networking, working with other medical professionals in your community and getting started. For those midwives who are interested in becoming credentialed with insurance carriers, we offer credentialing services for an additional fee.
We have associated with midwives for many years, both on a professional and personal level. We are intimately acquainted with the midwifery model of care, and know how to “translate” your services into code for maximum insurance reimbursement. Whether you are a CPM, LM, CNM, CM, RM, CDM or LDEM, we are here to serve you in you various places of service, be it home, office, birth center or even hospital. Your maternity and well-woman claims are billed by certified medical billers who maintain low client volume in order to better serve you. If you also use our online scheuler, you submit charges to us via the electronic superbill (no more mailing or faxing superbills), we create the claim, and our powerful billing program checks claims (‘scrubs’ the claims) before automatically sending them out. Later, all claims are automatically checked for status, allowing us to quickly focus on the problem claims and appeal any incorrectly denied claims. All insurance payments are sent directly to you (when possible) and we encourage direct deposit and e-EOBs for even quicker reimbursement. The best part is you have access to your account online and can see exactly where any claim is at any moment. We might not actually be in your back office, but we want you to feel as if we are right there, working with you. This web-based system linking our office with your practice increases efficiency, leaving you more time to do what you love—practice midwifery.
Our one-time registration fee is $200. We work on commission, invoicing you only after your claims have been processed:
-
Eight percent (8%) of insurance reimbursement, including deductibles.
-
Five percent (5%) of cash payments for your clients who do not have insurance coverage.
(These are general figures--please call for information on our discounts.)
We would love to speak with you about how we can assist you and your practice. Please email or call us for more information or to register.
In order to best serve you, it is vital that we stay abreast of changes in both the insurance industry and the midwifery community.
